Direct Interval Tuning
If you prefer to tune by beat rates, this tuning function is for you. The note you are tuning is shown in the center, and surrounding this note are its neighboring intervals. Each interval is identified by note name and interval name. As you tune, the beat rates of each interval formed by the tuned note are visualized in real time by a flashing display. Both fast and slow beat rates are easily identified. Just like playing test intervals in aural tuning, you can instantly see the effect of your tuning on all surrounding intervals. As you tune each note, its pitch is stored so that other notes can be tuned against it. Along with the flashes, the average beat rates are calculated and displayed as beats per second. A + or - indicates whether the interval is beating wide or narrow.

The Interval Tuning function is great for training your ear to hear aural beat rates, and for experimental tuning and research.
